Carsn City 9 year old uses birthday to help others

When Breanna De Luca of Carson City turned 9 years old on Nov. 11, she asked her friends to bring slippers, robes, blankets and other items to donate to residents in local nursing centers this Christmas. Her family and friends brought slippers, robes and blankets. She plans on donating the items as Christmas presents to residents at the local nursing centers in Carson City and Gardnerville, which are run by EmpRes Healthcare. She has volunteered at the centers and is known as the Resident Joy Advocate.
