Joseph (Jack) Camden Schlotterer, passed away peacefully with family by his side in Carson City on December 22nd at the age of 95. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 68 years, Mary Jane Schlotterer who passed March 22, 2010. Jack is survived by his three daughters, Suzanne Thomas, Gail Astgen and Mary Carrera, along with his grandchildren Lori Thomas, Michael Thomas and Allyson Carrera - and great grandchildren - Taylor, Austin and Dylan Thomas, Son-in-laws Steve Carrera and Tom Astgen and grand daughter-in-law Traci Thomas. Jack was a World War II veteran who served in the Navy on the submarine the USS Skate. He was one of the brave men from this Nation’s greatest generation! His early memories of the hard work and sacrifices he and his family endured during the Great Depression would forever instill in Jack a very strong and impenetrable work ethic as a master machinist and inventor. You will always be loved and missed. You and Mom will forever be in our hearts and memories.
