Mary Louise Barz Camp, 77, of Longmont, CO, died December 15, 2014 at The Peaks Care Center. She was born September 10, 1937 in Fremont, Nebraska to Carl and Marjorie Barz. In 1953 the family moved to Billings, Montana. She received her nursing degree from Montana State University. She married Reverend David G. Camp on December 27, 1958. Being the wife of an army chaplain and pastor meant that she lived many places over the years, including Henrietta, OK, Norman, OK, Fort Sill, OK, four cities in Germany during two army assignments, Herlong, CA, Reno, NV, Dugway, UT, Lamoille, NV, and Carson City, NV. She and Dave moved to Longmont in 2005 to be near their daughter. While in Reno, she worked 6 years at the Nevada State Mental Hospital as a night nurse. She enjoyed traveling in Europe and Asia while they were stationed in Germany. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood for 55 years. She volunteered her time to many organizations. She loved to cook for family and friends, and was always trying new recipes. For many years she knitted stocking caps to be given by groups helping others. She thoroughly enjoyed watching sports of all kinds on television. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her two children, a son, David G. Camp, II (Kathy) of Richland, WA; a daughter, Susan Landers (Dave) of Longmont; two brothers, Art Barz (Sandy) of Billings, MT, Dan Barz (Diane-deceased) of Poulson, MT: four grandchildren, Matthew and Dulcinea Camp and Paul and Kevin Landers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30AM, Monday, December 29, 2014 at Central Presbyterian Church, 401 Kimbark St. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
