On February 5, 2014 the Walker family said their final good-bye to Ida Gale (Bozarth) Walker, 89, resident of the greater Carson City area since 1997. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years and all siblings and in-laws. This remarkable lady was born in Santa Ana, CA on November 23, 1924, the middle of seven siblings. Graduated from Chino High School and attended Otis Art Institute on a scholarship. Married Taurone Kenny Walker April 16, 1944; they had two children Bertrand T. Walker and JoyceGale Ramos, five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a housewife and mother; artist, knitter, seamstress, weaver, and private pilot; active as a leader in youth programs in Church and 4-H Club; worked as a dietitian, dispatcher, realtor, and aircraft parts manager.
