Sandy was born on Sept. 4, 1954 in San Jose, Ca. She passed away Feb. 11, 2014 at her home in Virginia City Highlands. Sandy worked for the U.S. Postal Service most recently at the Glenbrook Post Office. She always greeted her customers with a happy smile and kind words. Sandy had a big and loving heart. She loved all her large and extended family. She loved her home in the highlands where birds and wild horses roamed at will through their yard. She especially loved all her cats.Sandy is survived by her husband Dale and his mother Nadine of Virginia City, her parents Wes and Doris Boyer of Carson City, her brother Dennis and his wife Carmen of Reno and her nephew Daniel Boyer and his wife Shannon of Carson City. There will be a celebration of life for Sandy on Sat. March 1st, 3pm-6pm at the Plaza Hotel Conference room in Carson City. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity or the American Heart Association.
