Social amenities at Washoe (City): Last week a ball was given in Washoe on the line of the V. & T. R. R. Some Carsonites went down but were not allowed to take part in the festivities. Gov. Richard Bryan is not going to declare a state holiday on the birthday of the slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King. He is hoping the 1985 State Legislature will approve a holiday to coincide with the actions of Congress.
