In loving memory of Verna Mae (Evitt) Coleman, who entered into this life December 10, 1928, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Clara Regan Evitt, and departed this world December 22, 2013 at her home in Fallon, NV. Verna Mae was raised in Hereford, TX. and Clovis, New Mexico. She worked for a veterinarian for many years, Dr. Crouse called her “Little doctor.” She and her daughter moved to Glen Dale, AZ. to be closer to her sisters. She worked in retail clothing for several years Verna Mae married Levi Coleman in Carson City, NV. on March 6, 1968. She was a member of Churchill County Search and Rescue team for many years, she also worked as a waitress for the Long Branch Café. In 1972 Levi with Verna Mae was shipped out to the Panama Canal as liaisons to the Army for air support. Verna was an excellent cook and there house was always filled with Air Force personnel and their wife’s for one of Verna Mae’s home cooked meals. She also loved to sight see and travel. Verna Mae loved to keep score for the bowling teams, every Tuesday and Thursday night leagues. She was honored for the most accurate score keeper with trophies and plaques, until they put in the auto score machines. A Celebration of Verna Mae’s life will be held at 2:00 Pm on Friday, January 17, 2014 at The Gardens Chapel 2949 Austin Highway Fallon.
