Rhonda Julia Kilty

Rhonda Julia Kilty of Carson City, Nevada passed away at the age of 60 on June 23, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Rhonda was born in Roseville, California to Zivko and Mary Milat; she enjoyed spending her childhood playing softball and making friends everywhere she went. In 1973, Rhonda married Gary Kilty and moved to Nevada. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from UNR and became a Certified Public Accountant. Rhonda worked as a CPA in the private industry before taking on the role of accountant/bookkeeper for Kilty Construction & Electric for years while also raising her two daughters, Shauna and Megan. After her daughters graduated from high school, she went to work as an accountant for the State of Nevada until her early retirement. Rhonda is survived by her husband, Gary, daughters, Shauna and Megan, father, Zivko, siblings John, Diane, Richard, and David, and six nieces and nephews. Rhonda enjoyed reading, sports, trips to Lake Tahoe, taking walks, and being with her friends and family. She was loved by everyone and will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Walton Chapel located at 1281 N. Roop St, Carson City NV 89706. A reception will immediately follow at the Kilty home.
