140 Years Ago

Matt Rinckel has built one of the most substantial brick buildings in Nevada. Upstairs are the finest rooms, and the ground floor is admirably arranged. Mr. Jones was engaged in putting the finishing touches on the meat blocks. This is what a man can do who is not afraid of work and not foolish enough to think he can splurge and put on airs and make a modest competency. Amity Lodge No. 8, Knights of Pythias, will give a picnic at Steamboat Springs. No liquor will be sold so all may take their wives and children with the assurance that the day’s pleasures will not be marred by drunken characters.
