NBC and the NBC Sports Network will provide nine hours of live coverage of the American Century Championship from Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline.
The celebrity golf tournament again has a field loaded which includes Annika Sorenstam, Steph Curry, Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, John Elway, Greg Maddux, Ozzie Smith, Charles Barkley, Larry the Cable Guy, Kevin Nealon, Ray Romano, Billy Jo Tolliver, Jack Wagner, Rick Rhoden and Gary Williams.
Bob Papa and analyst Roger Maltbie will anchor the coverage from the 18th hole. They will be joined by tower reporter Gary Koch and course reporters Mark Rolfing and Notah Begay. Steve Sands will conduct interviews from the hole.
Live television coverage will be as follows: 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, NBCSN; noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, NBC; noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, NBC. Golf Channel will re-air the broadcasts Saturday through Monday.
Tournament scoring is based on a modified Stableford format with 10 points for a double eagle, 8 for a hole-in-one, 6 for eagle, 3 for birdie, 1 for par, 0 for bogey, and minus 2 for double-bogey or higher. The celebrities will play 54 holes over the 6,846-yard lakeside course at Edgewood.
