Howard “Bud” Sutherland

Howard “Bud” Sutherland passed away July 28, 2014. He was a fifty-six year resident of Carson City, NV. Bud was born December 25, 1923 in Duffy, Ohio to Captain Hugh Sutherland and his wife, Genevieve. Bud is a WWII veteran proudly serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific theater. He was a lifetime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenter’s & Joiners of America, Local # 971. Bud was a founding member of the UBC Retiree’s Club, Carpenter’s Local #971. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise (Gallagher), who passed away in 2003. Also three sisters, Ruth Carpenter, Grace Knauss and Eileen Payne.Bud will be dearly missed by his three daughters, Pamela Michelson, Regina Blanchard (Bill) and Linda McMahon (Vince). One step-son, Donald Armstrong (Ann). Six grandchildren, Anthony, Brittany, Matthew, Julie, Chuck and Ray. Lastly numerous great and great great grandchildren. There will be a visitation for Bud on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10:00am at Walton’s Chapel in Carson City, NV. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am also at Walton’s. Burial with military honors will be at Lone Mountain cemetery.
