Steven David Calcaterra

Steven David Calcaterra, age 34, passed away July 9th, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center from complications due to open heart surgery after a short illness. He passed peacefully with his wife, mother, dad, and family by his side. Steven was born October 15, 1979, to David Noel and Ruby Lynn (Bull) Calcaterra, in Sacramento, California. Steven moved to Nevada at a young age, attended Carson City schools and graduated from Carson High School in 1998. He worked various jobs in construction and landscaping in the area. Throughout his short life, Steven’s passions included snowboarding, horse training, camping with family and friends, playing his guitar, and being with his wife, young sons, family and friends. Steven is survived by his wife, Lesleigh Anne (Knack) Calcaterra; sons, Cameron David, age 3 and Colton Michael-Lawrence, age 1; mother and dad, Ruby and Mike Brackin of Carson City; father, David Calcaterra of Seattle, WA.; grandmother, Connie Bull of Sacramento, CA; brother, Tom (Meredith) Brackin of Carson City; sisters, Christy Perez (Ben) and Carrie (Robert) Robinson both of Sacramento, CA; niece, Jill Ratcliff (Josh) of Sacramento, CA and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Sister, Shannon Lynn Ratcliff; grandfather, Paul Bull; stepmother, Sharon Calcaterra; and grandparents, Elwin & Marjorie Brackin and Mario and Judith Calcaterra. Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry’s Funeral Home in Carson City. A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at Calvary Chapel, 1635 Clearview Dr, Carson City on Saturday, August 16th at 11:00 am.
