Mary Sue Inwood Ho

Sue was born on Jun 25, 1937 to Ernest Loeb Inwood and Margaret Emily Merritt. She graduated from Scarsdale High School (New York) in 1953. She passed away on Jun 3, 2014. Sue attended Texas Women’s

University ultimately receiving her degree in 1978. During her junior year at TWU, she was elected the editor of the student paper in the Daily Lass-O. She continued her

writing career, first on the Nevada Appeal in Carson City and then at the Tahoe Tribune. At the Tahoe Tribune, she served as editor and stringer for the Sacramento Bee and UPI. While she was raising her daughter Katherine, she continued to submit her writing, with some success. Her daughter remembers a “Manners Test” that sue created for her Brownie troop. Sue submitted to the Highlights (children’s) magazine and it was published. She spent from 1975 to 1988 working as a technical writer in Silicon Valley. The majority of that time was with General Electric writing manuals on how to operate nuclear power plants. During this time, she also taught basic electronics classes after hours at GE. In 1989, she married Winson H. Ho. They had over 25 years together in San Jose, CA, Hawaii and ultimately settled back in Douglas County. Sue is survived by her husband Win, her daughter Katherine (Inwood) Graham, step-sons, Michael (Yamada) Ho, David Ho, and her grandchildren Jacob and Bonnie Graham. There will be a graveside service for Mary on Friday, June 13th at 1:00pm at Lone Mountain Cemetery with a gathering to follow at the Masonic Lodge, Carson Lodge #1, 113 E. Washington Street, in Carson City, NV. Walton’s Chapel of the Valley is in charge of her final arrangements.
