CHS PERFORMING ARTS SHOW
What is “Urinetown”? Come and see the show to find out! A musical comedy that manages to subsequently be dark and profound, “Urinetown” is an earnest tale of love, greed and revolution. The show is set in a town plagued by a 20-year drought, where water has become so scarce that private toilets have become unthinkable.
At the mercy of a single dominating corporation who maintains a monopoly on the town’s public amenities, the destitute citizens must pay towering taxes and fines to carry out their most private and basic of needs. Out of the mass of the pitiable, a hero rises to lead his fellow citizens against the tyrannical regime.
Starring Courtney Baxter, Kaeli Biggin, Ivan Gates, Brent Lauderaugh, Amanda Ramsey, Henry Wilson, and an incredible supporting cast, chorus, pit orchestra and crew, this is one you won’t want to miss.
Tickets are available at the door of the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center and are $5 high school students and children; $10 for general admission.
Show dates are 7 p.m. April 4, 10, 11 and 12; 2 p.m. April 6 and 12.
