The Carson Mitey Mites knocked off Sparks, 32-6, to advance in the Snow Bowl Tournament.
The locals will play Fallon at noon on Saturday at Golden Eagle Park in Sparks.
Jessie Delgado ran for two scores and threw scoring passes to Decarlo Quintana and Alex Myrehn. Gavin Green and Kayden Popham led the blocking, while Drake Hardcastle, Zach Lopez, Evan Lillie, Josiah White and Nathan McKee played tremendous defense.

Lewis & Prause team up for win
Daryle Lewis and Marc Prause combined for a net 59 to win Carson Valley Golf Club’s scramble event on Nov. 2.
The duo edged Bob Pemberton and Dennis Patterson by two strokes.
Mike Davis and Matt Budjako won Flight B with a 64, one shot ahead of Brick Òudington and David Morris. Gary Cartsen and Jim Arens won Flight C with a 69, three shots better than Neil Bain and Paul Finan.
• Carson Valley Golf Club is holding a Turkey Shoot on Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. The cost is $35 which includes golf and cart, $10 prize fund and soup at the turn. Turkeys are awarded to the winners. It’s also a Nike Demo Day at the course.
Masiello & Paul win at Empire
John Masiello and Nick Paul combined for a 55 to win Flight A at Empire Ranch’s two-man best ball tournament on Oct. 28. Fred Coons and Mel Ness were second at 57 and Fred Blackburn and Mark Wilson were third at 58,
Paul Lockwood and Ray Huntley won Flight B with a 54, two strokes better than John Pearson and Vic Roscha. John Lewis and Walt Blizzard were third at 57.
Local players fare well in Vegas
Kahle Good and Connor Culp of the Nevada Warriors helped the Southern California Nationals baseball travel team to a 3-1 record at the Desert Classic in Las Vegas.
The SoCal team, with players from Southern California, Nevada, Idaho, Arizona and Minnesota, beat the Las Vegas Toros 7-6, the Minnesota Mashers 12-0 and the California Brushback Club 4-3. The only loss was to First Pitch Gamers, 8-0.
Genoa golfer performs well
Young Cole Wilczek of Genoa posted first- and second-place finishes in his boys 13-14 year old age group last weekend to put the finishing touches on his Reno region championship in the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation Tour.
Wilczek, a seventh grade student at Bethlehem Lutheran School in Carson City, won a weather-shortened tournament Saturday at Thunder Canyon and then wrapped up the tour with a second-place finish on Sunday at Silver Oak that clinched his championship.
With the championship, Wilczek qualified for to regional play in addition to the U.S. Teen World Championships to be held on July 24-26 in Pinehurst, N.C.
He now moves on to the Sacramento series where he won two tournaments and placed third in the overall points in 2012.
Wilczek won three times and placed second in three other tournaments on his way to winning the Reno fall tour championship. On Saturday at Thunder Canyon, he fought through gusting wind and rain to shoot 43 for a six-shot victory in an event that was shortened to 9 holes due to conditions.
On Sunday at Silver Oak, he shot one-over par 37 on the front nine followed by a five-over on the back nine for his 78.
