Raymond L. Ernst

Raymond L. Ernst, a proud member of the ‘Greatest Generation’, passed away November 13, 2014 just shy of 91 years of his birth. Ray leaves many memories to be cherished by his loving, faithful wife, Ruth, of 62 years and their four children: Douglas Ernst (Carol), Susan Jensen-Monesmith (Ronald Monesmith), Steven Ernst (Cheri), Alison Huber (Jack). He was blessed with 9 grandchildren: Christine (Matthew) Longanbach, Kevin Ernst, Sharon Ernst, Kristin (Chris) Hildreth, Lindsay (Ian) Turner, Ryan Monesmith, Kelsey Jensen, Carson Ernst and Camdyn Ernst. He was also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren: Avery and Bennett Longanbach, and Colton Turner. Ray also leaves behind brother Robert Ernst and his family. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he flew bombers in WWII and fighters in Korea. He was also a test pilot and senior engineer for Lockheed - Martin. Flowers may be provided for services at the First United Methodist Church at 412 W.
