Robert Allen May was born to Robert L. and Mamie May and was raised in Amherst, Texas along with his brother Davis (Jo)and sister Marylouise (R.P.) Reed. Bob attended the University of Texas, receiving a degree in Civil Engineering, and then joined the Navy. Back stateside, he ended up in Denver where he met his wife, Elizabeth (“Betty”), who preceded him in death in 2011. Their family grew to include five children: Bill (Gail), Larry (Dawn), Tom, Andy, and Kathy (Jeff) Ingelse.
