The Nevada Mining Association has selected Dana Bennett as its new president succeeding Tim Crowley.

Bennett is former regional director for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and current operator of Bennett Historical Research Services.

Board of Directors Chairman Tom Kerr said the field of applicants for the post was impressive but Bennett’s experience in the Nevada Legislature and with the mining industry made her the top choice.

A search was conducted after Crowley decided to leave the post after six years.
