Larry W. Paul, on Sept. 21, 2014. passed away. He was born Jan. 9, ‘54, in Havre, Mont., to Levi and Elizabeth Paul. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Levi, brothers, Doug and Steve, and sister, Teresa. His wife of 31 years, Clare; son Ian; daughter Marie; Mother Elizabeth & sister Deborah Privett. Larry grew up in Carson City, Nev. His career started as a cadet with the Carson City Sheriff’s Department. He received his degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada Reno. He worked as a back-country ranger in Lake Tahoe, Nev.; Nevada Division of Investigations and Narcotics in 1976; and was hired by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department in Gardnerville, Nev., in 1980. He retired in 2003 as a Sheriff’s sergeant. In 2006, Larry began a new career as a Lutheran Pastor. He attended Concordia Lutheran Seminary from ‘03 to ‘06. Ordained Pastor of Saving Grace Lutheran Church in Chino Valley, Az. since 2007. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Carson City, Wednesday October 8, at 6:15 p.m.
