John B. Gabor

John B. Gabor, age 72, died on September 22, 2014, at Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA due to complications following respiratory illness. John graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1964 and served in the Navy for 25 years, retiring as a Navy Captain. After retiring from the Navy, he served as Director of the Merrill Gardens Retirement Community in Gardnerville, NV. John is survived by his wife, Margaret Gabor, of Gardnerville, NV; his sons, Duane and his wife Joanne, Keith and his wife Stacy; his grandchildren, Brooke and Logan; his brothers Ray, Dale and Jim; and his sister Gladys. Mr. Gabor will be remembered at a holy mass on Oct. 18th at 10am, followed by a brief gathering in the Topaz Room of the Carson Valley Inn. The service will take place at St. Gall’s Catholic Church in Gardnerville, NV. All are welcome to attend this Celebration of John’s life.
