Katherine Lazard passed away October 11, 2014 in Gardnerville, NV. Katherine was born February 15, 1920, in Hardin, MT to Henry and Katherine Zier. Katherine spent her formative years there. Katherine married Benjamin Franklin Lazard, and spent her life with him until his death in 2006. Katherine loved to garden, and could can anything. She loved to work with her hands especially crocheting, knitting, and being a seamstress. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Franklin Lazard in 2006. She is survived by 3 sons, Frank Stanley and Robert Dean of Carson City, NV, and Gene Roland of Corning, CA. Also, 5 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Services will be Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley. Visitation will be 1 hour prior. Reception after, with burial to follow in Janesville, CA.
