RSVP will hold quarterly training for volunteers on Friday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon. The training will be hosted at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension office 2621 Northgate Lane Ste. 12 in Carson City. RSVP volunteers, persons caring for a loved one 24/7, and other interested parties are encouraged to join us for this free training.
The featured speaker will be Greta A Engelbrecht. Greta is the Coordinator, Direct Service Programs Director, Medication Therapy Management Program, at the Sanford Center for Aging University of Nevada, Reno. Greta will be discussing medication management.
RSVP’s mission is to help frail, homebound, and low-income seniors remain independent by providing high quality programs which allow them to stay in their homes with dignity. Additionally, RSVP coordinates a volunteer network of seniors who use their skills and talents to provide support to community agencies and address community needs through service.
The training will also be broadcast to various locations in rural Nevada.
