Found. Two things have been found: We have discovered an honest Democrat, and that Democrat has found some horsey man’s fob ribbon, with equine adornments attached. The man who is “out” one stud-hoss watch rigging, and who can come to this office and prove his treasure to be his’n, can walk off with the spoils.

The Appeal hears a rumor to the effect that a circular is to be issued the day before the election containing slanderous charges against Evan Williams. This issuing of a libelous and anonymous circular on the eve of an election before the victim has time to reply, is the most despicable and dirty method of political warfare that any one can engage in.

United States Marshal J.B. Houlahan of San Francisco arrived from Sacramento this morning having in charge Roy Craig, who was arrested on the complaint on a charge of white slavery. The alleged violations occurred in Reno. He will be confined to the local jail until the meeting of the grand jury.

The ministers of Carson City met Monday in the rectory of St. Peter’s Episcopal church for the purpose of finding ways and means of forming a ministerial fellowship. Elected chairman was Rev. G.W. Smart. Rev. W.A. Welch was elected secretary.

Ormsby County residents must decide Nov. 3 whether to approve a $900,000 bond issue to build a new city-county jail and police facility. Currently the jail was designed to house 24 prisoners. Today, it may see as many as 110 prisoners.
