Sport: Girls soccer
Q: What is your favorite sport to watch on TV and why?
A: Soccer because it’s another way to learn about the game and different strategies.
Q: Should professional athletes be considered role models?
A: Yes, because professional athletes work hard and long, and they have to fight every day to become better and keep a spot where they play on their team. They are physically and mentally strong and have other good components to become role models.
Q: What do you think about the dress guidelines at Carson High?
A: I think the dress guidelines at the high school are very reasonable, but they just need to be better enforced throughout by all the teachers, so it is fair for everybody.
Q: What is your favorite sports movie?
A: She’s the Man.
Q: What do you like or dislike about Carson City?
A: I like the scenery and how close to Lake Tahoe we are.
Q: What vacation spot have you enjoyed the most?
A: Florida.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Chicken alfredo.
Q: What is the last nonacademic book you read?
A: “If I Stay” by Gayle Forman.
Q: Is too much emphasis placed on test scores in education?
A: Yes. I think too much of school is based completely on tests, and test scores. Especially when teachers begin teaching to tests and it’s no longer about applying your knowledge, or really thinking through situations or processes. Instead, it becomes straight facts and memorization that relate only to that specific test.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
A: Julie Foudy, because she is a great inspiration and hard worker.
