Carson City road report for Sept. 22-28

The following information applies to the period of Sept. 22-28.

Due to an event, Goni Road and Research Way will be closed to through traffic south of College Parkway beginning Wednesday, Sept. 24, through Sunday, Sept. 28. Due to the event, routes 2A and 2B of the JAC transit system will not provide service in this area on Friday, Sept. 26, or Saturday, Sept. 27.

Robinson Street between Curry and Carson streets will be open in an eastbound direction only on Monday, Sept. 22, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road will be closed in both directions on Tuesday, Sept. 23, and Thursday, Sept. 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Detours will be provided.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will be continuing road work on Highway 50 from Arrowhead Drive in Carson City to Baldwin Lane in Mound House. There will be single lane closures on weeknights from 1 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. in the westbound direction and from 7 p.m. to 11 a.m. in the eastbound direction.

There will be utility work on roadway shoulders in the Lakeview area south of Hobart Road during the weekdays. Delays will be minimal.

There will be work primarily in the shoulder of the following roads Monday through Thursday. Minor delays are possible.

Fifth Street from Hidden Meadow Drive to Fairview Drive.

Hells Bells Road from Fifth Street to Parkhill Drive.
