Habit change. The seven Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul have adopted a newly designed simplified habit. The old habit of blue and white is modeled after that of the Normandy peasant women of the 17th century called a “cornette.”Because of the work they engage in, the new habit must be trim simple and suitable for all-weather service.
