Downtown needs family oriented businesses
I was reading about the Carson Street transition and I think you need to put in businesses that cater to families. No more adult businesses like the High Sierra Brewery. Change that to a buffet-style restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and other businesses like a small post office, bank, ice cream store (or frozen yogurt), drugstore and bakery.
All of these are family friendly businesses that no one should object to. Leave the sidewalks and street the way they are, put the fences back up, but have off-street parking for people to walk to these businesses.
These businesses would be located between Telegraph and Musser streets on the west side of Carson City.
If you mess with the street at all, then this fairy-tale of an idea that you have will never work. But, then again, politicians never did listen to the people.

Despite passing, mom is always around
The passing of my mom is forever. She’s never coming back as she was. But I feel her presence all around me as she shines with the stars up above. She holds my hand through the darkness.
Thinking of the memories
Then I begin to cry
As strength I fell of her being my mom
Her light shining down from the sky
It’s a little more lonely here without you
But your strength gives me strength to be
You were always there and you still are
Thank you for my heart of memories.
