Blessing of animals, breakfast set in Dayton

All animals are welcome at a blessing of the animals event at 1 p.m. Oct. 4 at St. John the Apostle Outreach Center, 140 Pike St. in Dayton.

The center will hold its free monthly breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 7.

Non-religious gathering planned

Minister Scott Bauer and the Center for Body and Mind will present Sunday Assembly, a gathering geared for those who are not religious but would like to come together in the spirit of inspiration, celebration and community, at 10 a.m. Sunday at Center for Body and Mind, 3680 Grant Drive, Suite C, in Reno.

Sunday Assembly has no doctrine and does not worship a deity.

It’s free to attend and open to everyone, regardless of beliefs. Services are held on the first Sunday of the month.
