Cheers & Kudos: Eagle Valley thanks presenters, guest for STEAM night

Eagle Valley Middle School would like to thank all of our presenters and guests from the 2015 STEAM Night held on March 5. This event benefits all students in the Carson City School District. The students and their families get to see how our community businesses, clubs and secondary schools use science, technology, engineering, the arts and math.

This event was a huge success! We would like to thank: CHS Robotics Team, CHS Chess Club, CHS Native American Club, CHS Interact Club, Carson City Sunset Rotary Club, Carson Fly Fishing Club, Resource Concepts, Inc., Click Bond Industries, John Rupert, Maggie Rupert, Alicia Singleton, Darlene Murphy, Jan McEwen, John and Laura Valley with the Archery Program, the Arraiz family, Dee Frewert from the Society of Women’s Engineers and the Northern Nevada First LEGO League, CHS/WNC Astronomy, CHS Engineering, CHS Chemistry, CHS Physics, WNC Science Outreach Team, Carson City Library, Carson City School’s Sustainability Action Team, CMS Wetlands/Green Team, EVMS Art, EVMS Spanish, EVMS Science, EVMS Math, EVMS STEM, Vineburg Machining, Inc, WNC Machining and Advanced Manufacturing, CASI, Carson City Sheriff’s Office, UNR NC Lab, UNR Engineering Program, TLC Integrations Systems, CCSD Mobile 1:1 Digital Learning Team, Carson Sierra Youth Football League and the EVMS First LEGO League Teams!

A special thank you goes out to the administration, Principal Lee Conley and Vice Principal Dr. Sue Moulden for supporting this event.

Thank you EVMS Leadership for assisting with the event. Thank you to the EVMS FLL teams and their families. They organized the raffle and assisted with set-up and clean-up. The teams did an excellent job of demonstrating their robots and discussing their season.

The biggest shout out goes to the EVMS Advanced STEM Class. These students helped organize the event, laid out floor plans, worked stations, set up and cleaned up! They did an amazing job!
