Click Bond, Inc., has elevated Karl Hutter from COO, treasurer and secretary to serve as president, CEO, and he will retain the treasurer’s post.

Before his three years as COO, treasurer and secretary, he was vice president of Click Bond sales for five years, according to a news release on the transition taking place this month.

Katherine Hutter Mason has been named secretary of the closely-held Hutter family firm and continues to serve as director of corporate communications, according to the company announcement. Charlie and Collie Hutter, the firm’s cofounders, will continue to be engaged with the firm. They have been named, respectively, to new corporate officer roles as inventor and chairman of the board.

“As a family business, it is wonderful to see the lineage continue and we feel secure naming Karl the next CEO of Click bond and Kate as secretary,” said Collie Hutter, the new board chairman and former president/CEO.

“They deeply understand the standards of quality and innovation that Click Bond has been built upon.”

Click Bond creates mechanical hardware solutions through manufacturing for the fields of aeronautics, aerospace, other transport firms, as well as industrial concerns outside transportation. The headquarters and primary manufacturing facilities are in Carson City, but the company also has plants in Watertown, Conn., and Saltney, Wales in the United Kingdom.

The new president and CEO looked forward to carrying on the 28 year legacy forged by the family.

“It is exciting for all of us to start the next chapter for our family business together and to continue Click Bond’s positive impact in the communities in which we work and the industries that we serve,” he said.

The new CEO, who has degrees in engineering and in entrepreneurial management and operations management, began with the family firm after his collegiate career as an applications engineer for the Southern California territory.

He led development of the firm’s Far East markets as the first Asia Pacific sales manager, then stepped into the vice president of sales and marketing role.

He is credited with expanding global aerospace presence for the firm, as well as extending Click Bond markets to the naval, marine and energy exploration industries.
