Marsh is regional executive director of Red Cross
Zanny Marsh has been selected to serve in the new role of executive director for the American Red Cross in Northern Nevada.
Marsh will serve in a leadership role to promote the growth and quality of Red Cross programs and services throughout Northern Nevada. Based in Reno, she will focus on program expansion and board support.
Marsh brings over a decade of experience working for higher education institutions and nonprofits. She has been appointed faculty emeritus by the University of Nevada, Reno, and teaches a graduate course called Elders and Aging Population. She also sits on the Board of Trustees for KNPB, Chairs the Board of Seniors in Service, is a member of the Board of Directors for Truckee Meadows Tomorrow, and serves as a consultant for Nevada Alliance for Arts and Education.
Marsh obtained a bachelor’s in journalism and a master’s in justice management.
She’s also a recipient of the Clara Barton Honor Award, the highest award the Red Cross bestows upon volunteers. Her paid Red Cross career is preceded by her volunteer service career with the Red Cross.
