RENO — More than 150 firefighters are battling a wildfire on the edge of Northern California’s Plumas National Forest about 80 miles northwest of Reno.

Forest Service spokeswoman Lee Anne Schramel says no one has been injured and no homes currently are threatened by the blaze that has burned about 185 acres near Genesee Valley about 10 miles southeast of Taylorsville, Cal.

The fire was reported on private land about 5:30 a.m. Monday. Strong winds pushed it onto the national forest.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Tuesday afternoon.
