Nevada Assembly Republicans say they’re working to make amends after a verbal altercation in a private caucus meeting earlier this week.

Republican Assemblywoman Victoria Seaman said she’s upset that fellow Republican Ira Hansen refused to hold a vote on AB282 by Friday’s legislative deadline, and said he made threatening comments to her during the meeting.

Hansen disagreed with Seaman’s version of events and refused to comment further.

The bill would have revised law related to foreclosure mediation and would have given lenders more time to work with homeowners to resolve a mortgage concern.

Republican Speaker John Hambrick issued a statement Thursday evening acknowledging the pressure of the legislative session and saying the matter would be dealt with internally.
