Brummer ranked No. 1 for closed transactions

Mary Jo Brummer of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates ranked as the No. 1 Realtor in Nevada for closed transactions in 2014.

Brummer, experienced in residential sales, new home sales, distressed properties and commercial sales, has worked in the real estate industry for more than 18 years. She holds the Re/MAX Lifetime Achievement, Chairman’s Club, Hall of Fame and Platinum Club awards, as well as the Certified Residential Sales and Certified Distressed Property Expert designations.

Editor of Northern Nevada Business Weekly to feature at event

Steve Sinovic, editor of the Northern Nevada Business Weekly, will talk about his plans for broadening his audience and increasing reader engagement at the next Carson Area Marketing & PR Network meeting at 5:30 p.m. May 6 at Lake Tahoe Brewery Co., 302 N. Carson St.

Most recently a business writer and editor for newspapers in San Diego and Santa Barbara, Sinovic previously worked in Reno as editor of the Business Report of Northern Nevada. His presentation will touch on the challenges for both print and digital news platforms.

CAMPN is an association of professional marketers, marketing communicators, and public relations executives who gather monthly to network and share marketing and public relations resources, ideas and tips. Vascular and endovascular surgeon joins Carson Tahoe Health

Carson Tahoe Health welcomed Dr. Shannon Beal to its network of physicians and surgeons. As a member of Carson Surgical Group, Dr. Beal will specialize in vascular and endovascular surgery.

Dr. Beal will expand on the rapidly growing cardiac and vascular services Carson Tahoe Health offers. Her areas of expertise include: open and endovascular procedures including peripheral, aortic, mesenteric, and carotid arterial disease as well as venous disease and dialysis access. She also offers less invasive open, endovascular, and hybrid vascular procedures.

Dr. Beal completed her vascular and endovascular fellowship at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. She graduated medical school at University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed her residency in general surgery at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
