June 30, 1923 - Aug. 1, 2015

Passed gently on August 1, 2015. He was born in England on June 30, 1923. He served in the RAF (Royal Air Force) in England and joined the US Air Force when he came to the US. Pop retired after 30 years of Security/Law enforcement work at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento. He lived in Colfax, CA for 40 years before coming to live in Fallon in 2005 to live closer to daughter Jan Ferguson. He was fond of saying, “old soldiers never die, they just fade away.” He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (Kay) and brothers Les and Harold. He is survived by step children, Daryle (Teiko), Jan Ferguson, and Allyn (Marlene). Granddaughter Kathi (Jason) Merrill, Great Grand Children, Orrin (Lis) Turold, Alden (Sarah) Turold, and Shannon (Cameron) Dent, and 5 Great Great Grand Children.

His internment will be private in Colfax, CA on August 14th. Remembrances should go to CAPS of Fallon as he loved his pets. A gathering for sharing memories will be on Saturday, August 15th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Depot Casino in the upstairs Bingo hall. He loved the Depot staff and playing the machines. His smiling face and sense of humor will truly be missed.
