Richard “Dick” Westling

Dr. Richard “Dick” Westling, age 89, died peacefully in his home on July 5, 2015 in Fallon, Nevada, where he enjoyed residing since 2006. Dick was born on March 29, 1926 in Minnesota, the only child of Harold and Helen Westling. After serving in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1947, he married Lennie Bussiere on October 23, 1948 in Massachusetts. Dick graduated from the University of Southern California Dental School and began his pediatric dental practice in Victorville, California in 1956 and lived in Apple Valley for 50 years until moving to Fallon. Dick had a life-long interest in cars and one of the highlights of his retirement was restoring vintage Fords with his high school buddy and neighbor, Louis Cote’. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Lennie and is survived by his daughter, Rondi Vinnedge and her husband Ron, his son, Greg Westling and his wife Charlotte, grand-children, Ruthie Lang and her husband Brad, Zack Westling, Levi Westling and his great-grandson, Wesley Lang. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Old Post Office in Fallon on August 8, 2015 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
