Sen. Nye arrived here last night. A carriage intercepted the stage, accompanied by the Zouaves as an escort and was driven to the Ormsby House. Sky-rockets and the booming of cannon announced his approach and these, with bonfires, and the shouts of welcome made a very handsome demonstration.

A large sized pigeon story. The Walker Lake Bulletin says: Last week an immense flock of wild pigeons flew southward over Fish Lake Valley. They were of such numbers that the sun for a time was obscured as though by clouds, and the birds perspiring form the intense heat caused a drizzle similar to rain to fall for over an hour.

The Lincoln Highway Moving Picture caravan, which is taking a series of pictures over the highway and in the towns abutting the same, clear from the Atlantic to the Pacific is in Fallon today and is scheduled to be in Reno. For some reason Carson was overlooked. The idea now is to get Carson in the pictures.

Four of the fliers who accompanied Lt. Gen. James Doolittle on his famed first raid on Tokyo April 18, 1942, have been liberated.
