Feb. 7, 1946 - Aug. 1, 2015
After a 2-year battle with cancer, 69-year-old Frank Edward Dennis passed away at Renown Medical Center in Reno, NV on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Born in Ohio, Frank grew up in the areas of Cleveland, Akron and Ravenna. After moving to Carson City in 1980 with his family, he decided to make it his permanent home. His years in Nevada were spent as a husband, father and entrepreneur. Frank was a die-hard San-Francisco Giants fan who had an appreciation for Motown music, antiques, classic cars and the “Old West.” Frank spent most of his life working in the salvaging business, which gave him the opportunity to hunt for the treasures he traded, sold, or just kept in his “junk yard.” He also collected and repaired classic vehicles and enjoyed woodworking. Frank was preceded in death by both of his parents, several brothers, a sister and his long-time partner, Althea Ellen Conway; the mother of his three surviving daughters, Tuwisha Dennis-Tumulak, Shelinda Dennis and Kimberly Dennis. He is also survived by his two beautiful and talented grandsons, Israel Dennis and Ethan Tumulak. In addition, he is survived by his loyal and caring companion, Anne May who stuck by his side for more than 15 years. Frank can be described as “one of a kind”. Being a resilient, sentimental man with a big personality, it’s no question that Frank will be missed by loved ones. Final arrangements have been made with Autumn Funerals and Cremations at 1575 N. Lompa Ln, Carson City, NV 89701. Visits are welcome beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
