Judge Norm ‘Robbie’ Robison May 4, 1937 - Aug. 9, 2015 Judge Norm ‘Robbie’ Robison passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening at 11:12 pm after a short illness. He was 78 years old. Born May 4, 1937 he grew up in Elsinore, California and joined the Navy in 1954. He met his soon-to-be wife, Jeanette, in King City at a dance when she was 16. They married on June 28, 1958 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. He was a sitting District Court Judge in Douglas County, first being appointed by Governor Robert List in 1982 where he presided until retiring from the bench in 1994. He then became a Senior Court Judge, traveling all over the State of Nevada until his recent retirement in January 2015. As a Judge, adoptions were, by far, his most favorite cases. He had many passions in his life, both in his career and his personal life. He enjoyed working with Judge Howard McKibben to create China Springs Youth Camp, bringing his tractor (and wife) to clear the land and build, starting with cutting the road into the facility. He loved working his ranch and teaching his children about raising crops, animals and birds and about harvesting them all. His greatest passions outside of his work were hunting, fishing, boating and gardening. He will be greatly missed by his wife Jeanette of 57 years, his daughter, Rhonda Kudrna (Richard, Jr.), his son Craig Robison (Debra) and his four grandchildren, Danielle and Kendra Blum and Annelise and Ethan Robison. A celebration of Norm’s life will be held at the Carson Valley Country Club in Gardnerville on Sunday, September 27th from 2pm to 6 pm.
