Jordan Christopher Woodward

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, Jordan Christopher Woodward. Jordan’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of his existence far exceeded the the quantity of time he was given. His beautiful smile and contagious laugh could melt the hearts of those around him. Jordan was born on May 29, 1994, in Reno, Nevada to his parents Chris and Kelly Woodward. He went home to his Lord on August 27, 2015. He was raised in Carson City, Nevada and graduated from Carson High School in 2013. He moved to Reno following graduation and attended Truckee Meadows Community College. He worked full time at Renown Regional Medical Center as a phlebotomist. He is survived by his parents Chris and Kelly Woodward, sisters Alyssa and Gracie Woodward, maternal grandparents Bruce and Colleen Glover, paternal grandparents Carol Kapner and Jon Woodward, Uncles John Glover (Kristi), Murph Glover, Aaron Woodward (Joanna) and Alan Glover (Harle), Aunts Cheryl Woodward, Susie Kastens (Steve) and Sheila Banister, Cousins Emma and Ty Glover, Christina Colombo, Rylee and Reese Woodward, Dan Kastens (Nicole), Cassie Kastens (Phil) and Ali Banister and a band of brothers that were the best friends a boy could ever ask for. A funeral mass will be held at St.Teresa of Avila Church in Carson City, Wednesday September 2, at 11:00 am. A private family burial will immediately follow after the service at Lone Mountain Cemetery. A reception will follow the service in Chartz Hall at St. Teresa’s.
