Walton’s Funerals & Cremations-Chapel of the Valley is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Carson City, with an afternoon of free events on Sunday, Dec. 13.
A free Senior Resource Fair will run from 3-5:30 p.m. offering the community access to information on estate planning, independent living, affordable housing options, funeral planning and hospice care. Walton’s also will offer free flu shots, in partnership with Immunize Nevada and Walgreens.
After the resource fair, local dignitaries, including Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell, will commemorate the anniversary with short presentations.
Walton’s Funerals & Cremations-Chapel of the Valley is located at 1281 N. Roop St.
A long-time tradition, Walton’s Funerals & Cremations will host its Remembrance and Candle Lighting Service for anyone who has lost a loved one. The service will begin at 6 p.m. at the Chapel of the Valley and everyone is welcome.
There will be an additional candle lighting service at the Walton’s Funerals & Cremations-Sierra Chapel, 875 W. Second St., in Reno, at 5 p.m. Dec. 6.
