Joe Borges Sr. passed away February 4, 2015 at his home in Moundhouse. Joe was born February 4, 1932 in Long beach, CA to Joseph and Anna Borges. He moved to Carson City in 1978, moving here form southern California. He was known in this community as “Sticks and Stones Joe” because of his work with Carson BuildingSupply and “PapaJoe” to all his friends and family. Joe loved fishing and he was always up for a competitive game of horse shoes with friends. He loved to go camping with his wife and family. Joe was a diehard Rams fan. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Billie who passed away in 2008. He will be dearly missed by his sons, Joey Borges (Debbie), Anthony Borges (Carleen) , Roger Dau (Sherilyn) and Dave Dau. Daughters, Arlene Wilson and Lyla Leitner (Ken). Sister-in-law, Sandra Wilkinson. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. There will be a Funeral service for Joe on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00am at Walton’s Chapel in Carson City, NV, burial will follow in Walton’s Carson Gardens cemetery.
