Carson High travels to Bishop Manogue Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a key boys basketball contest.
Carson, 11-3 in league and tied with Galena for first place in the Sierra League, goes for a season sweep of the Miners, who enter the contest with a 10-4 record. Galena, Carson and Manogue are battling for the top two spots and a first round home playoff game next week.
At 5:15, the Carson girls take on the first-place Miners. Carson enters the game in third place with a 7-7 record, one game ahead of Galena. In the event of a tie for third place, Galena holds the tiebreaker edge over CHS based on its season sweep.
