Alumni notebook: How Carson City area athletes are doing in college

BASKETBALL

Rafe King, Carson, Columbia College: Has appeared in all 28 games and is averaging 11.9 points and shooting 42 percent from 3-point range. Averaging 2.8 rebounds per game.

Matt Nolan, Carson, Cabrillo College: Has appeared in all 26 games with one start. Averaging 2.3 points per game and 0.6 assists per game.

Haley Ridgely, Carson, Hollins University: In 15 games, she’s averaging 1.1 points and 1.5 rebounds a contest.

Savannah Smith, Carson, Sierra College: In 28 games, she’s averaging 3.1 points, 1.1 assists and 1.4 rebounds.

BASEBALL

Jace Zampirro, Carson, Feather River: Made one appearance last week. Is 0-0 with a 6.00 ERA.

Adam Whitt, Carson, UNR: Is 1-0 with two saves and a 2.25 ERA.

Luke Maher, Carson, Colorado Northwestern: No stats posted on Scenic West website yet.

Brock Pradere, Carson, Ohlone College: Has moved from 3B to outfield, and is hitting .286 with three RBI and 10 runs scored.

Rory Petersen, Carson, William Jessup: No action last week. Hitting .345 for season.

Charlie Banfield, Carson, Yuba College: In 6 games, he is 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA.

Jake Koch, Dayton, E. Nazarene: Season hasn’t started yet.

Conner Oliver, Dayton, Minot State: Season hasn’t started yet.

Nick Selmi, Dayton, Mendocino College: In 5 games, he’s 1-0 with a 4.17 ERA.

Nick Domitrovich, Carson, Lassen College: Is hitting .269 with 4 RBI.

Chance Quilling, Carson, Sierra College: Has played in 4 games and is hitting .182 with an RBI.

SOFTBALL

Christa McGahuey, Carson, University of Detroit-Mercy: In five games is hitting .273 with two homers and three RBI. She is 0-3 on the mound with an 8.40 ERA.

Danielle Morrow, Carson, Doane College: Has appeared in four games, three starts, and is hitting .181.

Kenzie Cole, Dayton, Montana: Is 0-4 with a 5.53 ERA in seven appearances, including four starts.

Lisa Yamamoto, Carson, Linfield College: In three games is hitting .200 with no RBI.

Jen Purcell, Carson, UNR: In 6 games, is hitting .211 with an RBI.
