Carson High School graduate and nursing student Emily Field is raising money for a trip to India with the International Relief’s Medical Mission Team.
“We will be bringing medications and medical supplies to help these people improve health, and saves lives,” she explained on her fundraising page. “We will be providing humanitarian outreach to address the physical needs of some of the people of India. Our service will give them hope through many means including community health classes and providing important preventative care.”
She will be joining six other students from Denver School of Nursing’s Global Health Perspectives club.
“I will be working alongside other qualified volunteers and medical professionals to provide health care in some of the most impoverished regions of India,” she said. “I am confident that this Medical Mission Team will be able to help more people than ever.”
Emily is $600 from her fundraising goal of $3,700. She said all donations will go toward medical supplies, not transportation costs.
“This is why I became a nurse, and I could not express how thankful I would be for your financial help and support,” she said. “You can be a part of my dream.”
