KimiKo Kawada, a native of Japan who has worked in the U.S. for more than 30 years and speaks English and Japanese, joined the team at Coldwell Banker Select Real Estate, 123 W. Second St.

Kawada, whose background is in accounting, owned a business consulting company supporting Japanese businesses for more than 18 years. She held an insurance license for more than 13 year and currently holds a license of “Chouri-shi,” or Master Japanese Chef.

McFadden joins RCM Realty Group

RCM Realty Group welcomed Carson McFadden to its team.

McFadden took the first steps towards her career in real estate when she was 19. She worked as a realtor in Boise, Idaho, in her first licensed year. She moved back to her native Carson City, the city she was named after, last year.

McFadden holds her property management permit and an associate’s degree in general education. She is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in business management. She can be reached at 775-220-4444.

NV Energy makes senior leadership promotions

NV Energy announced the promotions of Shawn Elicegui to senior vice president of Regulation and Strategic Planning, and Carolyn Barbash to vice president of Compliance and Standards.

Shawn Elicegui, a Reno resident and University of Nevada Reno graduate, earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis. He joined the company in 2009 as associate general counsel and most recently held the position of vice president of Regulation. Prior to joining NV Energy, he was a shareholder at Lionel, Sawyer & Collins where his law practice emphasized regulatory and administrative law, public utilities, business transactions and natural resources.

Elicegui has served on the Advisory Board for the Washoe County Salvation Army and has worked with the Sky Tavern Junior Ski program, serving as a volunteer ski instructor and contributing time to the operation of the organization. He also served as an officer of the Administrative Law Section of the Nevada Bar.

Carolyn Barbash, a Reno resident, has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from University Nevada, Reno, and is a licensed Professional Engineer. She began work with the company in 1989 as an engineering intern and has progressed through a number of management positions, including Director, Transmission Planning/Business Development; Executive, Transmission; Executive, Gas Distribution; and most recently Executive, Transmission Project Delivery.

Barbash serves on the board of the Nevada Women’s Fund and the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada. She has been a board member for Boys & Girls Club of Carson Valley; Western Nevada College Foundation. She has also served on the board of the Western Energy Coordinating Council.
