Wayne Morris Collins

Wayne Morris Collins, age 71, passed away at his home in Fallon, Nevada with his loved ones present, on January 22, 2015. Mr. Collins retired from the U.S. Army after 26 years of service with the Rank of Sergeant 1st Class. He served 6 years active duty as a heavy equipment mechanic with the U.S. Army Engineers which included 4 overseas tours while on active duty, 5 years with RMCB 2 (Seabees), U.S. Navy Reserves and 12 years with the Utah National Guard (all as a heavy equipment mechanic/wheel vehicle mechanic). He has been a long time resident of Fallon, Nevada since 1988 and has worked since then at NAS Fallon and as a mechanic for various local ranchers. Wayne Collins is survived by his wife, Sharolyn Kay Collins and brother and sister, Richard Collins, Fallon, Nevada and Inda “Dee” Kooring, Salt Lake City, Utah. He is survived by his children, Katheria “Kathy” Joyce Shelton, Bend, Oregon; Melissa Merry Collins, Kansas City, Missouri; Adrienne Briar Collins, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Richard Ryan Collins, Salt Lake City, Utah. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many brother-in-laws and sister-in-law, a son in law, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
