Terrible night at Cave Rock. As it turned darker, hundreds of gulls came into the cave for refuge, flapping their wings. When they were shaken off, they filled the air with shrill cries and for a few hours, there was pandemonium. Each time a bird was beaten off Reik’s face, the bear would rise and growl savagely, and the birds would fly about the cave. (Continued on Saturday).

Death. Mrs. Robert Dickson of Brunswick died after a few days of illness. She leaves one of the largest families in the county, consisting of 10 children, the youngest an infant. She also leaves a husband, father and mother. Deceased was 49 years of age. After raising her family, it seems she should have been spared to enjoy the days of gold age and peace.
