Business briefly: More than 100 Carson City animals find homes

Nevada Humane Society found homes for 1,322 animals — including 118 in Carson City — through its annual Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption drive that ran Nov. 21-Jan. 4.

In Carson City, 46 cats and 72 dogs were adopted; another 629 cats, 524 dogs and 51 other animals were adopted in Reno.

Nevada Humane Society, 3770 Butti Way, is open for adoptions from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sundays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays.

Business event offers advice on finding success

eWomenNetwork’s Reno/Carson/Tahoe Chapter is opening the new year with the topic, “How do we get from knowing what we want to creating plans to make those ambitions a reality?” at its networking dinner from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at Hidden Valley Country Club, 3575 Hidden Valley Drive in Reno.

Adryenn Ashley, an award-wining author, filmmaker and storyteller, will talk about a process to gain clarity and certainty in decision making.

Doors open with informal networking at 4:45 p.m.

The cost is $40 for eWomenNetwork members, $50 for nonmembers and $60 for registration beginning Jan. 16. Vendor display tables are available.
