Time for change is the theme and Mayor Robert Crowell will step into the spotlight come Wednesday, Jan. 28, when he speaks on the state of the city at a Carson City Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

The luncheon, open to the public for $17 in advance or $20 at the door, is scheduled to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on that final Wednesday of the first month in 2015 at the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino. The chamber’s advance notice about the event contended that 2015 will bring various changes, many of them already set in motion, which the mayor will highlight.

The mayor annually prepares a formal speech looking to the past and forward to deliver at this traditional event held in the first month each year at the chamber’s Soup’s On luncheon.

The chamber asks that people wanting to attend seek reservations to secure seats either online, by contacting the business organization at admin@carsoncitychamber.com, or by telephoning (775) 882-1565.
